Is Platinum One 1 Destinations Giving Coastal Vacations a Run For It’s Money?
February 5, 2008 on 6:27 pm | In Business Opportunity, Coastal vacations, P1D, Press Releases, coastal vacations packages, maria porter, network marketing, platinum one destinations | No CommentsHello
No doubt you have read reams on the merits of both Coastal Vacations and Platinum One Destinations and even more information with reports that the other is performing a scam operation ans should be avoided at all cost.
Why it seems that any company who is not yours can not be a viable and good alternative is really beyond me. Negative reporting rarely come ahead as has been demonstrated in the current political campaigns.
Today is Super Tuesday and in my opinion the candidates who can keep calm under pressure, stick to the issues and not revert to name calling inevitably wins in the court of public opinion.
So how is Coastal Vacations doing under the pressure of thousands of their members swinging across to P1D?
The results of a certain few, mainly in relatively high positions in Coastal has been to release YouTube videos, Press releases and articles on why P1D is such a bad choice and that all potential new members should stay clear away.
However, if you scratch away at the surface you will find some good results that have come from the competition that has been thrust infront of them.
It appears that a new member volunteer committee is being formed which will look into the quality of the member packages and how it can be improved. This is a great first step for Coastal Vacations. I would also like to see a retail only Coastal package for those who are performing B2B marketing. This actually would be easy to organize by Coastal having a different mailing address for retail customers, so being able to distinguish between members who need to have marketing information in the packages and those who do not.
I know more good will come from the competition, it always does.
An Update:
The conference call number has been changed (yet again). The new number for the live calls and lunch time training calls is:
712-338-8000 pin 1103#
In conclusion, I think P1D might be the best thing that has happened to Coastal Vacations. Both network marketing businesses have their merits and there are many like me who are promoting both Coastal and P1D. I have never felt that it was an either / or situation.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Hope this helps

Introducing Platinum One Destinations
January 30, 2008 on 9:10 pm | In Business Opportunity, CSG, Coastal vacations, Nettrav, P1D, SMG, home business, maria porter, network marketing, platinum one destinations, synergy marketing, travel home business | 2 CommentsIf someone would have told me 3 months ago that I would be introducing a new travel home business to my blog, I would have thought them nuts.
As many of you know, I have been with Coastal Vacations since August 2001, and I have made it my full time occupation and have loved it.
Yes many travel businesses have been presented before me and many of them have had very interesting aspects to their packages or their business plan, but I always found it easy to decline the knee jerk reaction of joining them, basically because the BIG coastal picture allowed me to make money on my terms with a product not readily available anywhere else.
So why have I decided to add Platinum One Destinations to my home business portfolio?
There are many reasons and I thought about it long and hard before telling the world I was interested in P1D as it is fondly referred to.
Here are the main ones:
Affordable, you can start as an associate for $49 (actually waived until Jan 31st 2008)
Team wide support and training. Synergy Marketing Group ~ SMG ~ (the old coastal synergy goup) has a history of providing top notch support, marketing systems and training to their group and their vision and leadership has taken the travel home business to the next level with P1D.
Professional websites.
No price undercutting.
Real products you can be proud of sharing with your loved ones.
CUSTOMER SERVICE (after struggling with zero customer service with coastal, this was a huge reason for me).
A Corporate structure, with huge funding and a vision for growth and market share you can build your future on.
Plus many more.
As you are not taking payments from customers, there is no need for the expense of having your own merchant account, plus there is no price negotiating, rewards rebates etc. In fact anyone seen participating in unethical practice will lose their ability to market P1D. I do not have to tell you how this issue alone has been one of the major pitfalls with coastal.
How popular is P1D, ’til date they have brought in $2Million since launching on 1-1-08.
I hope this does not appear as I am pitching but the flag ship product of concierge 5* high touch customer service has not been seen anywhere in the market place and the time is ripe to introduce this concept to the public.
At last, a traveler can call concierge, request dates, transfers, location, flights, activities, all on one call and know that the arrangements will be made, professionally, with the best prices.
This could be the end of the self service travel arena for many.
Lastly as this is being written in January, there are still some soft launch specials which are going away very soon.
I urge anyone who might be interested in adding a unique travel business with an unprecedented pay plan to their current business to take a look at www.platinum-one-destinations.com and make a reservation for the next wealth building webinar.

Visit www.officialcoastaltools.com for details on how the Coastal memberships can help your business.

More Strange Coastal Vacations Scammers
August 24, 2007 on 3:41 pm | In Business Opportunity, Coastal vacations, Marketing, coastal vacations packages, coastal vacations travel, level 3 director, maria porter, network marketing | 1 CommentCoastal vacations has been in business for over 13 years. I personally have been with coastal for 6 years, and during this time, never have I see so many scammers touting themselves as Coastal Vacations Directors.
Please be aware, if you are looking to join the Coastal Vacations Business Opportunity, get all the details about the person you are thinking to join under (name, address, contact details, website details etc).
The latest scam is a phone call, where the caller will urge you to join Coastal for $400. If you can’t do that they will call you back and say that they will take your first sale instead but will require $39 to set up your get your Coastal website.
In both cases they will take your credit card over the phone and that’s it. You will never hear from them again.
If this has happened to you, report this issue to your credit card issuing company.
In the 3 cases that were reported to me, the victim had nothing but a toll free recording and a fictitious name.
Legitimate Coastal Vacations directors do not sell the packages for $400 or will require you to purchase a website from them.
With success comes fraudulant activity, please be cautious.

Happy 4th July from Maria with Coastal Vacations
July 4, 2007 on 4:46 am | In Business Opportunity, Coastal vacations, level 3 director, maria porter | No Comments…………….But I am Not Like You Maria….
Well, no 2 people are alike, but you could be a British born, trained physical therapist who is married and has one son…and joined Coastal Vacations in 2001.
More than likely that does not describe you. But what may describe you is, you are tired and worn out doing what you are doing. You have a desire to have more out of life than you are currently experiencing. You want to be your own boss, you are sick and tired of driving 2 hours a day just to plunk your body down in a JOB that wears you out. You would like to spend more time with your family and help with the homework and have time to do it…..and so it goes. I can bet some of those remarks could have been made by you….but they were made by me, so you just may be more like me than you think.
What is the difference? The main difference is that I decided to take the plunge, take the jump, open myself up to ridicule should I have failed again, and joined a home business opportunity I was passionate about, but I didn’t fail.
The only way you can fail is by not trying at all or trying and then giving up.
How many times did all the great people in history fail before they succeeded? More times than they succeeded I would guess. America is simply the most fabulous country on this planet, it can even make someone like me who came to the USA at the age of 32 into a contented well earning entrepreneur. Hey, I even speak with that funny British accent and was still accepted….
48% of Americans will not even take a summer vacation this year….well what a shame not to take a few days off and enjoy traveling around your wonderful country…. I hope if you are reading this, that you will take time to relax, eat a burger and be grateful….for your country is celebrating a Birthday….and it’s a beautiful thing!
Happy 4th of July!
Cheers

Fake Coastal Vacations Packages Have Surfaced
June 19, 2007 on 7:05 pm | In Business Opportunity, Coastal vacations, coastal vacations packages, coastal vacations travel, level 3 director, maria porter | No CommentsI received a very distraught telephone call yesterday from a coastal vacations member who had purchased a coastal vacations travel package from a level 2 director.
She had received a call from the shipping center, stating that she was in possession of a counterfeit Level 1 coastal vacations package.
The package is absolutely identical to any other level 1 package, except for one thing, the ID number is fake.
Well coastal vacations has now become one of the very big boys, in the business opportunity world, when counterfeiters find it lucrative to make fake packages…..

5 Steps To Success in Network Marketing
April 21, 2007 on 2:35 am | In Business Opportunity, Coastal vacations, Traffic, maria porter, network marketing | No CommentsAutomated systems work well if your product is digital and costs less than $99. The seller will attain better results when the sales page is formulated with a personalized video explaining the product and showing proof of training resources, or the product or their earnings. But what if you are selling a higher end network marketing product … what are some of the best steps to take to build enough trust or reasons for a buyer to purchase the product sight unseen?
Here Are My 5 Top Tips:
1. Building A Web Presence
It is necessary to have a web presence to market your product. The latest web 2.0 techniques covering the umbrella of social book marking sites, like blogs and video lure search engine spiders like flies to a web. The latest marketing techniques level the paying field, making it no longer necessary to have a huge advertising budget to have your website ranked high in the search engines. Utilizing a selection of varied marketing methods on a regular basis will attract traffic to your website.
2. Building relationships
Showing your face, recording your voice and adding testimonials to your site all increase the connection between you and your web visitors. Your new clients should feel as if they know you and can trust you and can contact you at any time without feeling like they are a burden to you.
3. Giving advice
Writing articles with useful materials will result in increased free traffic to your website and will establish you as an authority in your niche. Offering free reports, free downloads and adding web content will keep the internet seekers coming back to your site.
4. Adding Bonuses
Using competitions and time sensitive bonuses will add to the sense of urgency. Seekers will become buyers if they have a reason to purchase today. The one time offer strategy has become a huge success with internet marketers.
5. Care after the sale
Once the sale is done, many marketers feel that their job is over, in reality this is the most important aspect to any sale. Taking time to market and establish rapport with a client only to drop them after the purchase will lead to discontented members and complaints. Establishing a regimen of regular contact and training is essential for the success of your business and growth of your down-line.

The Truth Behind Coastal Vacations Press Releases
April 9, 2007 on 9:03 pm | In Coastal vacations, Marketing, Press Releases | No CommentsPress releases are literary compositions submitted to the press for distribution by companies and individuals with news worthy content. The releases usually contain creditable information about the release of a new product, expansion etc.
As time has gone by the notion to marketers in small business that the news released needs to be worthy of promotion seems to be dwindling. This method of advertising is rapidly developing into a cunning method of self promotion.
Press releases distributed by some of the larger well known distribution companies have the ability of getting the release indexed on the first page of ‘Google’ in a matter of hours. For this reason, some marketers are distributing them numerous times per month and dare I say it per week for the exposure.
Many business opportunities on the internet follow guidelines set forth by the company they are representing. In the case of coastal vacations where no policy and procedures are present, any individual is able to release as many press releases about anything as they feel fit with impunity.
The larger question is whether the companies releasing press releases are now releasing anything and everything because they are being compensated monetarily and is this leading to a dilution of news worthy content available on the internet?
Will there come a time when the public will simply not take press releases seriously as the content becomes unreliable and of so poor and repetitive quality.
For those marketers who are using press releases as almost their sole method of getting their word out, are they are doing a disservice to their team members, as this method of promotion is not duplicable by the masses?
Would it not be more beneficial for the future growth of the team if the sponsor would distribute marketing and advertising articles with satisfying and trustworthy substance as opposed to self promoting keyword rich non-newsworthy repetitive releases?
Just a thought.
